I love the twofer. “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “With A Little Help From My Friends” is my favorite. A twofer is two songs that segue into one another and never sounds quite right by itself.
“Falling In And Out Of Love/Amie” by Pure Prairie League, “Feeling That Way/Anytime That You Want Me” by Journey, “Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid (She’s Just A Woman)” by Led Zeppelin, “The Beat Goes On/Switchin’ To Glide” by The Kings, “Foreplay/Long Time” by Boston, “We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions” by Queen, and “Let Me Out/Your Number Or Your Name” by The Knack are prime examples of the twofer. Have I forgotten any?
Here is another one of those mash ups created by me, DJ Sung Mo Koo, featuring Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles with the classic twofer “Sgt. Freedom’s Lonely Hearts Club Band/With A Little Help From The Devil Or Sympathy For My Friends”.
