In 1996, a band from Liverpool called Space enjoyed success with the single, “Female Of The Species”. Like a scrambled egg on a hot sidewalk, their success was very brief.

Seven years later, Jay-Z released The Black Album. “December 4^th” appeared on that record. Like salt, he has had a long shelf life.

In 2015, I mashed up the two songs. This is the result. “December 4^th Is The Female Of The Species”. Like a Twinkie™, it is a golden sponge cake with a creamy filling.
