Some days you need the subtlety of a mallet and not the brutal force of a hammer. Other days, you make your choices based on the composition of a rat’s ass, in the same way that Ringo Starr, drummer of the Beatles, wrote an occasional song.
As 2017 comes to a rapid end, so concludes the 50th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. I was hoping to celebrate this occasion by mashing up every song by the year’s end. That is not going to happen, so in the words of the jolly man down the street, better late than never.
“Peace Frog” is the only song by The Doors that has an ounce of relativity left in it. The big reason is it’s rarely played on the radio, plus, it’s got that groovy riff.
