“Mary Mary Get This Party Started” by P!NK Vs. THE MONKEES

Pink - Monkees
It’s funny and tragic all at once. I never thought I’d ever compare myself to the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, yet here I am comparing and hating myself. It appears that my words have become the Melanie Trump of this blog. Where the hell are they? Did they get a tragic facelift? Are they on the cusp of painful death because of something stupid I have done or said? Did they leave me for N.Y. or Virginia because I abused them? Was it all really just a benign kidney condition? Were my words poisoned by the Russians? All FAKE news, for if you look behind you and up, there are my words, and they are proudly looking down at us.

There is a very simple explanation. My words really enjoy their privacy, and we should respect that. They need time to heal. On that note, have you noticed that Melania’s left eye is now her right? Cars - Perry
Initially, today’s post was going to feature a gaggle and combination of words when accumulated properly would have summed up to a short story or long thought. All that changed, upon receiving an email from Rhino Records®. Today is the 40th anniversary of the release of The Cars debut self-titled album.

I remember first hearing “Let The Good Times Roll” on the radio and being mesmerized by the over-produced harmonies and blend of synthesizers and guitars. I was hooked. I bought the album immediately. It was pop bliss, an updated version of Buddy Holly.

So, in lieu of verbal things, here is a mash up combining 1978 and 2010.

“Instrumental In D Minor For Black Magic Woman” by SANTANA Vs. THE EARL SCRUGGS REVUE

Santana - Scruggs

When it comes to the windows of your soul, there is a fine line between utter stupidity and death. Ask the idiot who woke up screaming in a coroner’s office after falling asleep with his eyes open. It was the second time he found himself in this awkward situation this week.
