Cat Stevens followed by a pop music daffynition

Born Steven Demetre Georgiou, he adopted the stage name Cat Stevens only to convert to Islam in 1977 with another name change, Yusuf Islam. In 1969, he almost died from tuberculosis. He also recorded a whole handful of songs, which he would perform in concert settings.
