His name was Dirge. His full Christian name was Dirge Dirge. Dirge led a double life, he sucked hard and he was an asshole. As synonymous as this may appear, it is far from the case. In the guise of Dirge, just Dirge, he sucked hard. No matter how, no matter what Dirge did; he was constantly failing.

It was February of 1992. It was a leap year, and anything was possible. “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred enjoyed the number one spot on Billboard. Ross Perot announced his run for presidency on the Larry King Show. A free newspaper distributed in Chicago called Planet: Stranger Than Fact, Truer Than Fiction introduced Reginald the Cat to an unsuspecting world in Volume II, Issue 4. The following is a reprint reformatted for the digital blog.
Mythology is a glorious lie, a device used to explain the wonders that are larger than mere mortals. It is not a coincidence, every storytelling nation has a creation myth, whether it be the makings of a singular God, or that the planets themselves, are actually gods. It is an attempt to place a science to something so humongous and mysterious. A side note: North Korea does not have a creation myth. They are incapable of creative thought and too lazy to consider the world beyond their Communist walls made of a substance slightly stronger than paper.
In the tradition of defining the vast unknown, this is the origin of the manodile, the beast that is half man, half crocodile and all awesome and terrifying.
