When I think about Jethro Tull, which is not often to never, I think, English prog-rock, pompous and flute. Flute, flute, flute, flute, flute, flute, flute; what an odd non-onomatopoeia, and when repeated over and over, odder and less of an onomatopoeia.
Steely Dan is basically a collective of musicians that support Walter Becker and Donald Fagen’s songs. They are known for demanding perfection in the studio, so they use as many different studio musicians it takes to attain the sound they desire. People either love or hate Steely Dan.
A world without Steely Dan is a world without yacht rock. A world without Pop-tarts is a world without breakfast. A world without shame is Donald Trump’s way of life.
