There was a period in pop music when it seemed like Michael McDonald was singing background vocals on every single song, from “This Is It” with Kenny Loggins to “Ride Like The Wind” with Christopher Cross to “Steal Away” with Robbie Dupree to “Peg” with Steely Dan to “You Belong To Me” with Carly Simon to “Red Streamliner” with Little Feat.
